vBlock consultant wanted for a fast growing international consultancy firm.
You’ll work in a team with deep knowledge in products from leading IT infrastructure vendors and well-defined implementation processes.
The client is based in Oslo but candidates from other European countries who are willing to travel are also welcome.

Job profile: vBlock consultant

We are looking for a consultant who has experience with vBlock, Cisco and VMware technologies.
You will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of vBlock within a large datacenter related program. You will also use the clients native tools to monitor vBlock and ensure maximum availability.

Requirements: vBlock consultant

The candidate should have a bachelor or masters degree and hold an European passport. He/she is VCP4.0/VCP 5.0 certified.

Furthermore you've got experience with:

• Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM) and Unified Infrastructure Manager Operations (UMIO)
• vSphere ESX, vCenter and Update Manager , VMware site recovery manager
• Related infrastructure such as EMC storage, Nexus switches (Cisco nexus 1000V ), and Cisco UCS
• Configuring and trouble shooting issues related to Cisco UCS, Fabric Interconnect. Etc.
• Optimizing VMware ESX for utilization of SAN storage
• Configuring VMware ESX clusters for ease of management, support of data bases, UNIX and Windows OS
• Designing VMware ESX environments to scale to customer demands
• Supporting VMware disaster recovery solutions.
