Responsibilities : Procurement Manager – Packaging (TEMP)

  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy for General Packaging, focusing on value creation, sustainability, risk mitigation, and total cost of ownership. Ensure full alignment with business objectives and key stakeholders;
  • Lead global sourcing activities for the category by defining sourcing plans and scopes, driving execution in line with strategic procurement goals;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support innovation, sustainability efforts, and performance improvements through structured supplier relationship management;
  • Translate the overall category strategy into a clear and actionable project roadmap. Oversee timely and complete project delivery through appropriate governance structures;
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the category, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize spend and enhance category performance.
  • Develop cost models to monitor pricing and support financial planning. Lead the annual budgeting process in line with internal controls and compliance requirements;
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on category strategies, sourcing initiatives, and program execution.

Requirements : Procurement Manager – Packaging (TEMP)

You are a skilled and driven procurement professional with a solid track record in sourcing and category management. Ideally, you bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in purchasing packaging materials. You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and remain composed under pressure.With a practical mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit, you proactively identify opportunities, navigate challenges, align suppliers with internal stakeholders, and consistently deliver results. You’re known as someone who gets things done—decisively and collaboratively.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in procurement with a focus on packaging categories;

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a direct, pragmatic style;

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior leadership;

  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and results-driven;

  • Analytical and commercially minded, with a hands-on problem-solving approach;

  • Resilient and adaptable, with a positive outlook and sense of humor;

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field;

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within an international or corporate environment.

The Offer : Procurement Manager – Packaging (TEMP)

You will be hired through our agency on a 6-month temporary contract as a replacement for maternity leave.

The salary is approximately €6,000 gross per month based on a full-time position (40 hours per week), depending on education and experience.

  • Annual leave days are included;
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed;
  • Please note: this position is not open to ZZP/freelance candidates;
