Responsibilities: Finance and Accounting Team Lead

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee daily accounting operations for multiple international legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting;
• Supervise and support external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure a smooth process;
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of two accountants, promoting growth and knowledge sharing;
• Monitor performance of financial operations and collaborate with leadership to identify and implement efficiency improvements;
• Maintain compliance with both local and international accounting standards and internal policies;
• Act as a key user for SAP S/4HANA, identifying opportunities to optimize accounting workflows;
• Support cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial systems and processes;
• Review balance sheet items regularly, ensuring data integrity and completeness;
• Partner with other finance functions to align accounting processes with overall business goals.

Requirements: Finance and Accounting Team Lead

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA qualification is a plus);
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, controlling, or audit;
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing or mentoring team members;
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach;
• Proficiency in MS Excel and hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA;
• Solid understanding of international accounting standards and regulatory requirements;
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch fluency is a strong advantage.

The Offer: Finance and Accounting Team Lead
