Job Profile: Financial Controller - Hospitality

In this role, your daily tasks will include: 

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, dashboards, and performance analyses to support management decisions;
  • Manage and coordinate internal reporting processes across various subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with group formats and schedules;
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity, analyze financial trends, and support forecasting through tools such as treasury software;
  • Oversee both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper invoice processing, payment scheduling, debt collection, and reconciliation of accounts;
  • Collaborate with internal departments to drive financial efficiency, implement process improvements, and identify cost optimization opportunities;
  • Support audit preparation, budgeting cycles, payroll journal entries, and risk evaluations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance;
  • Lead or support IT and system implementation projects such as Power BI, invoicing platforms, or ERP integrations;
  • Manage intercompany transactions, including reconciliations, billing, and monitoring of cross-entity positions;
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership, actively participating in internal planning meetings and reporting cycles;
  • Act as a backup to the Financial Manager when required, ensuring continuity of financial operations and oversight.

 

Job Requirements: Financial Controller - Hospitality

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant financial control position;
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Proven experience in financial controlling, either in corporate settings or accountancy environments;
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, and internal controls;
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial software (Exact Online knowledge is a plus);
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights;
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail;
  • Professional, reliable, and capable of exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment;
  • Fluent in English required, Dutch preferred. 

 

Offer: Financial Controller - Hospitality

Salary will depend on your experience but will be between 50k and 55k excluding holiday allowance based on 40 hours. Hybrid working, travel allowance, 25 holidays, and other benefits will be given as well.
