IT Manager - Trading Infrastructure

A fast-paced, high-performing proprietary trading firm is seeking an experienced and people-oriented IT Manager to lead and evolve its global IT operations. With technology serving as the foundation for the company's trading success, the role is essential to maintaining a secure, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure across multiple international offices.

IT Manager - Trading Systems

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a distributed IT ops team across multiple time zones and office locations

  • Oversee the availability, performance, and security of core infrastructure, including systems and networks

  • Act as a technical liaison with trading and software development teams to ensure seamless operations and rapid incident resolution

  • Drive the alignment of IT systems, processes, and infrastructure with the organization’s growth trajectory and evolving business needs

  • Manage IT projects, vendor relations, and cross-office technology rollouts

  • Champion automation, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the IT organization

  • Maintain high operational standards related to security, access control, backup policies, and compliance frameworks

Requirements IT Manager - Trading Systems

  • Demonstrated experience leading IT teams, ideally in complex and fast-moving environments

  • Strong technical foundation in Linux systems, networking (routing, firewalls, DNS), and DevOps tooling

  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Puppet), version control (Git), and CI/CD workflows

  • Exposure to trading, fintech, or other latency-sensitive domains is considered a significant advantage

  • Ability to combine technical insight with strategic thinking and leadership

  • Effective communicator with a pragmatic mindset and team-first approach

The Offer

This is a great permanent role in Amsterdam, with a base salary of around 120-150K per year (depending on experience) plus bonus (profit sharing). 
This job will be mostly onsite in Amsterdam, with some international travel. Relocation and visa can be supported.
